Our New Corporate Initiatives Program
Today’s greatest companies care about health and wellness, diversity and inclusion, and a triple bottom-line (people, planet & profits). Doing so is not only the right thing to do, it is also a strategic, competitive advantage for companies in multiple industries.
The vegan lifestyle is increasingly recognized as a theme connecting all the above concepts, and it’s increasingly of interest to the society. As evidenced by the Vegan Leaders in Corporate Management (VLCM) network, many prominent corporate employees and leaders are vegan. Yet employers are still often unsure how to accommodate vegan options in the workplace or how to incorporate vegan messaging in their wellness, sustainability, corporate responsibility or other programs.
In 2017, Vegan Leaders in Corporate Management (VLCM) is launching an official Corporate Initiatives program to help members achieve vegan improvements at their companies. We can uniquely facilitate forming of vegan corporate groups and know-how of strategically promoting vegan awareness. We have already begun working with senior leaders at several major companies to help them pursue a select initiative. Meanwhile we are also developing a “playbook” of know-how to enable more future wins on a larger scale.
If you wish to participate or have your organization participate, please schedule time to speak with Susanne Biro, our Strategic Engagement and Corporate Initiatives Director. With Susanne, you can explore how you can get involved and/or how VLCM might best support you and your corporate vegan advocacy efforts! Your company does not have to be Fortune 500. It should be at least of a moderate size and/or with an opportunity to achieve a corporately relevant vegan improvement.
If you are not sure about participating but would like to send a comment or an informational inquiry, please connect with us via our contact form. Also, if you are a provider with a valuable service towards this effort (for example a vendor providing a plant-based corporate oriented program), please contact us to assess the partnership opportunity.
We look forward to growing this program and reporting on our successes. Please stay tuned and contact us for more information if interested to get involved.
